I finished my 30 days around the first or second week of May. Did I loose 20 lbs on the 30 day Shred? No. But I do feel like the "shred" was a success. I will give you a list. I have more energy, and desire to do "stuff". I lost inches, quite a few (a couple of pant sizes at least.) I gained a lot of muscle and tone. The weight started to shred off around week six. I think if I would have let all my new muscle turn back to fat, I definately would have lost a lot more lbs. I also noticed that drinking all the required water didn't make me feel sloshy. I ate better, my cravings for sugar and junk were a lot less. Of course I still had chocolate (this is me remember) but the cut back was easy.
I felt so good about a new healthly lifestyle (thanks Aunt Wendy for helping me see better), I started a new program called P90X . I love it! Josh and I are doing it together. We have always enjoyed Kyuki-do together and seem to keep each other motivated well. With all the weekend festivites we missed a couple of times, but are trying to make it up. Also it is a bit longer exercise than just 20 minutes, but I have just gotten up earlier. YAY!! because we all know how much I love to sleep in! I wasn't really looking to get "ripped", but I really like the new muscles. I am still loosing weight and a good pace now, and my BMI is still going down as well. (Just don't eat a doughnut and then go weigh yourself.)
