Happy Easter 2009!!

We had a wonderful Easter weekend!!!!!!

Friday night we painted Eggs. (this is always a long waiting process.) It is my habit to buy things after Easter for next year. Last Spring I purchase the paas coloring q-tips. I strongly recommend these over the egg die. We did both. The kids had much more fun coloring directly onto the egg rather than waiting while the egg sits in die. The only issue is your kids may have dirty hands (or clothes) and you may need more than one pack. The eggs turned out GREAT! The kids were very proud.

The Easter Bunny visits us on Saturdays, and he was a smart one this year. Because of RAIN, he just set the eggs on the back patio, and told Daddy to hide them later. We also didn't make it to the city egg hunt. We spent the day visiting and playing with Gramma, Grampa, Nellie and Braydon (and their little dogs too.) We had a yummy BBQ, and finally ended the evening with an inside egg hunt.

Of Course Easter Sunday was a beautiful Sunny day! With our church meetings being later in the day we had plenty of time to get everyone ready in our humble dwellings. As I talked with Jaxon about why we celebrate Easter, I was impressed how well he recalled the resurrection. We talked in a little more detail about the atonement and resurrection. It was a spiritual moment between us. Later we attended some beautiful meetings and fully enriched our testimonies of the Savior and the Resurrection. He Lives and Loves us!!

We had a wonderful visit with family and were glad they were able to stay until Monday. Although we had a little asthma stress, it is under control now, and Mommy is not in labor yet.
