Happy December

Well I hope I get the chance to do a couple of posts, but well....things are still the same around here.

The house all a mess...
and mom in her hole....
daddy is wondering.....
if we are going to turn into moles??!!

Well we shall soon see. We had a Happy Thanksgiving with Nana and Papa! We ate yummy food, watched football (even though the games were boring....not close at all), and we played the new cranium WOW!!! Thumbs up from us. More exciting questions and not so dated. :)
JoDee did NOT go out on Black Friday. Those people are INSANE!!! If you did, count yourself Crazy!! Josh did go after the hustle was all over and picked up the new Monopoly "electronic banking". Thumbs up again!!! Such a fun game without the hastle of all the money!!!!

We had our Christmas party all planned for Saturday, when the Flu bug went around in the family. On Saturday the Daddy's were sick, and well we partied hard until 8:30pm. :) Isn't this when the party starts?? We had a great party anyway. Thanks so much to Nana and Papa for all the love they give. We were so excited to give Nana and Papa their handmade "John Deer" Stockings and matching tree skirt and even John Deer Fruit Snacks! We hope they enjoy them for many more Christmases. Auntie Mandy's family had our family name for Christmas and she made us each a little rag blanket with our names on them. Where did she find the time between a new baby and school?? We all love them, and have to have them every night!!!

Raspberry Pretzel Salad

Ok...well I was looking for my "Pumpkin Roll" recipie and I found this one. I thought I would share just before the holidays. It is totally yummy and well cravings don't help me any. I think the credits actually go to Jello and CoolWhip.

Raspberry Pretzel Salad

First Layer:
2 1/2 c. crushed pretzels
3/4 c melted butter
3 Tbsp. sugar

Press in a 9x13 pan. Bake at 350 Degs. for 10 min; Cool.

Second Layer:
1 c. powdered sugar
1 (8oz.) softened cream cheese
1 (8 oz.) Cool Whip
1 sm can crushed pineapple; drained

Mix cream cheese& sugar. Fold in cool whip & pineapple. Put on top of first layer.

Third Layer:
2 sm pkg. Raspberry jello
3 c. hot water
1 (12oz) pkg. frozen raspberries

Dissolve jello in hot water; then add frozen raspberries. Let partially set. Put on top of 2nd Layer and CHILL.

So you may have had this it was popular a few years ago, but it's still yummy. Also, the third layer is TRICKY!!! If you put it on too soon it will mix a little with the 2nd layer and look funny, but it will still taste good.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving!!! Love to you all!!

AS IF......we needed another June Birthday!

Oh JOY!!! As if you haven't guessed. We are expecting another little angel to join our family on June 10, 2009. As if we needed another June birthday I know, but he/she will be the first June baby in the Sharp family. June 3 is Grandpa's birthday and exactly one week early. This is my plan. We all know how well mommy's plan goes. Our other children know we are expecting a baby, and it is going to be a long, long wait! And of course I already have the names, it feels like I've known these children for quite a while now. "Jacey" Jacynda Elaine (girl) or "Jay" Jathan Peter (boy). Mock all you want but please don't let it get to me. :)

On the way to school about a month ago, Jaxon told me that some mom's just have babies in their tummy's and that is just weird. I tried to ask him who he was talking about, but he just said I don't know a lot of them. I think his teacher is having a baby too, but when I asked him, he said she wasn't.

Boo went with me to the doctor this week for my first visit. She got to hear the heartbeat! Boo learned a lot!! She didn't quite figure out why the doctor didn't get the baby out and so we could take he/she home right now.

Jinaya loves babies and I know will be totally beside herself with a new little one in the house.

It has been fun having older children understand a little bit more. Jaxon remembers quite a lot about when Jina was born and he reminds us frequently. He is also really wanting a brother since he doesn't have one of those yet. Then we could have an AB pattern. ABBA. (Kindergarten thing, It's okay you don't have to get it. :) )

Josh is always nervous about having a new baby, mostly for the space. I think he is a little excited this time because we have an "iron clad" excuse to get a new car. Anything New is always great!!! Right now I think he is just praying for me to get better. He has had to be Mommy too! I think he does a great job, but he does not get much time to himself.

I have just been sick. VERY SICK!!! I have not been on my computer for more than 15 min. since my last post. I wanted to update the other day, but didn't last that long. I am 11 weeks and am hoping it will only be a few more weeks. I am taking medication, which gives me small blocks of "okay" time although I still get sick.

Anyway...There is is....THE BIG NEWS!!! :)

A Very Merry UnBirthday To Jaxon!!!

Today is Jaxon's very UN-Birthday. His birthday is April 17th. I made these pages for the ES Challenges. In case you can't read this it says: For Jaxon's birthday we decorated and made a fun poster. Jaxon won the birthday cake from KMTI and Kent's Market.

The letter was a journaling challenge, I was glad to do! I have been wanting to write letters to my children for a long time. You can read the letter here . Please keep in mind it is a personal letter from me. Happy Un-Birthday Jaxon!!!

Tripple "X" Hair

My cousin had a post on her blog about hair styles and I thought it was a great idea. I am always forgetting some of the great ideas I've seen and done, so I am taking pictures of them and posting them so I can go back and remember them.

Jaxon though it was X hair, so that is what we call it now.

This one was easy! It was tons of fun. In the future, I would use hair wax on the pony tails as I put them in to keep stragglers down. It lasted for about 2 days and it took about 25 min. I think it would get quicker if you did it more often or you had a plan before you start. :) I think the rows go, 6, 5, 3, 2.

Jaxon listens to Conference

Tonight we had Family Home Evening and we talked about the prophets. We took the lesson from last week at Deseret Book. We talked about Samuel the Lamanite and we role played the story a little. Josh was the prophet and the kids and I were the wicked people. We threw marshmellows and said "No way" to all of his comments. Afterward we talked about listening and it was a good FHE. But as the kids were getting into bed, Boo had her legs hanging off and I told her to put her legs under her blanket. She said she didn't have any legs and I helped her out. Jaxon said, "When you meet Jesus you will have legs." Then he rephrased himself to say, "when you listen to the prophet you will have legs." After a couple of seconds I recalled the conference talk about the little girl who could not hear and in line at the grocery store met a boy in a wheelchair with no legs. The little girl had talked to the boy and made a comment about becoming whole again. I asked Jaxon if he remembered this and explained a little to him. I compared the boy to Nellie. We talked about how she does have legs, but can't make them work right, and how she talks with her eyes and her head. How she uses her mouth the yell and make some sounds, but words don't always come out. He tried to explain to me some of the sounds she makes and he finally said "She speaks in Sun Language." I did have him repeat this to make sure I clearly heard the words right. I am not sure if he was thinking sign language, but he knows quite a few things in sign. So Anyway, I thought it was special and thought I would share with you. LOVE YOU!!!

Conference was AWESOME!!!

I absolutely loved conference!!!! The speakers were so wonderful and truly aided me in feeling the spirit of righteousness and truth. I truly felt blessed as my family and I participated with conference. There have been times when we "had plans" or something on Saturday and have DVR ed or TiVoed conference to watch it later. It seems like Josh and I were "on the same page" without ever talking of it. We both wanted to sit and watch conference and enjoy the blessings of the spirit with those other members all over the world. It was truly amazing. We still gave each other gentle reminders that we shouldn't play games while watching conference, and when we listen to the music our spirit is edified and uplifted and ready for the next experience. Many great and encouraging things were said. NOT to discourage any of you that may have recorded the event to watch later. Please watch it and feel of the love that comes from Heavenly Father as his disciples gives us counsel, guidance, and reassurance. If you didn't get the chance to record it you can go to http://www.lds.org/ and download things. :) The internet is awesome!!!! Jaxon just knows you can get anything on the internet!!!!

One of my favorite talks was about laughing at things. I did a digipage on this a while ago, and I am really working on this concept of being slow to anger.
If you are interested in reading the journaling, you can go here: MomChallenge

Well....it is Monday and I really need to, you know, do "Mom" things. :) I just wanted to let you know we caught the Spirit this weekend at the Sharp Home!!! Loves to you all.

GIRLS!!

I LOVE these two pages....She looks so at peace. And she was having so much fun! Thanks to Crystal Clark for snapping such Great Shots!!!

Who is ThIS baby??? Her daddy didn't recognize her and her cubbiness. What a beautiful baby girl.
GIRLS!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHh!!!!!!!!!
Yesterday Boo and Emily got LOST!!!! And there were sirens at Main Street. I was so panicked that they had walked down there and gotten hit. They are quite a pair! Em's mom and I were looking for half an hour And well Josh came home and I was really starting to wonder about calling the cops. We finally found them. In a neighbors "locked" yard. The neighbors were not home. When the neighbors did get home, I got a phone call....apparently they had gone into the house and out through the back door (they left it open). and poured sand in the pond and all kinds of mischief. Well you know, this has happened at our house while we are gone too. Needless to say our neighborhood will now be locking their doors because of a couple of 3 year old bandits! (yes we love living in a small town)

Homework Again!?!?

Well...after talking with some of you I decided to "blog" this and maybe I can recall it later.

So Homework...Jaxon is so very creative and independent. I have been watching his homework to make sure he follows directions. Anyway he was coloring and in the first row, 1 bear red, in the second row, 3 bears blue, and in the third row, 5 bears green, and at the bottom he was to color the bear the color of the most. Anyway, I was nervous because you just can't erase crayon and Jaxon has an imagination. So I explained the first question and when he was done he let me know, I went to the next question, then I let him color for a few minutes. When I went to check on him, he'd finished his homework. I asked him all of the questions to see if he understood what he was doing and because the bear at the bottom was also green, that made 6 green bears. So he had drawn and colored an extra bear on the 5 bear line. and changed the 5 to a 6. I was thrilled his imagination stayed close to what the directions had said. AMAZING!!!

So then yesterday, Jaxon was supposed to color all the rectangles. He had done all but one horizontal rectangle that was very long and thin. I asked Jaxon to tell me what all the other shapes were and when we got to the long, thin rectangle Jaxon told me it was a frying pan. We talked about the shape and the sides and what makes a rectangle. He was very persistant the shape was not a rectangle but a frying pan. He explained to me what style of frying pan (side view) and he even drew a handle on the rectangle to make it look like a frying pan. So, I got out my "rectangle shaped" frying pan and we talked some more. He agreed that the Pan was a rectangle, but the shape on the paper was not. After some more discussion Jaxon decided the shape was a "flat tire" then after a while, something that was very squished but not a rectangle. I finally told him it is a rectangle and he said "it's not a rectangle, it's a squished one." and although I hate to do this, I told him to color the shape in question.

Well....I think we talked about things in the right way, and I am conviced that Jaxon's perception and point a view is NOT wrong. I began to worry what he was like at school and I talked to my mom and I finally talked with his teacher. She assured me he was very good in school and pretty funny. He gets them laughing everyday. Yesterday he told his teachers, "Boo sends me over the wall everyday." Anyway, She gave me some good word choices to talk with Jaxon about following directions and letting his teacher knows he understands and there are times to be creative and for example, he can always draw frying pans on the back. :) She also said if there is a mistake on the homework, the aide will pull the kids aside and have them redo it. Talk about a paranoid parent! It's just amazing the things you learn in Kindergarten. Well, at least I will remember this for Jaxon in the future.

Cabinets?

Ok...well on July 3rd, Josh brought home some kitchen cabinets he thought could be used for some extra storage. Well as he puts it, he brought them home and I said, "I like these, can you put them in right now." And although I did actually say that, and meant it, can you blame me? He had 3 full days off work to put them in (like that ever happens), so his timing was perfect. And YES Josh did put them in. Thankfully Mandy and Nick came down on Saturday and helped us do the top ones. They are heavy!!! This was a FIRST for Josh and he did a great job recustomizing custom cabinets to fit in our house.

Here are the cupboards...notice the crown molding. We have also put in new countertops and Josh painted, I will have to take more pictures. We also have an appliance garage (Thanks Nick) and a spice cupboard. Also, a Lazy Suzann in the top and bottom corner cabinets (WAHOO!!!!) The bottom cupboards have the pull out shelves...and well I am sure many of you have this luxury, but we have lived here for 9 years and it is a Big change not having to crawl inside the cupboards to find stuff. IT's so NICE!!!! As if you can't tell I LOVE IT!!!! oh...I will stop rambling, most of you have probably already scrolled down. :)

One of the biggest changes is the wood and decorative style unter the counter, not just panelling. We also have a nice wood piece on the edge of our dishwasher, for decoration. :) Looks GOOD Josh! We put this huge cupboard in our "kitchen hall" (under is the entry for the furnace). It has made a HUGE impact on storage and this is where we put all our dishes.
We even put up a couple above our washer and dryer. It is amazing!!! It still looks like Josh doesn't have a place for all his tools yet. HUM????
Anyway, he did a great job, and although it doesn't add a TON more storing space, it does add some and it looks a lot nicer! KUDOS to Josh. He did a great job. (and got some pretty good tools out of the deal)

Blog Work

Hello...well here are some visual updates to my blog, but HELLO...really it shouldn't be this hard.

???Homework???

This is Catwoman, Batman, Joker. They are "supposed" to be gingerbread men. Jaxon is very creative. He had drawn a cape and mask, ears and tools, and other things with a pencil to make these his own. Then he colored them. Well, I guess it's kind of silly to post homework, but I am continually in "AWE" of what a child's mind can do. I guess everyone feels this way. :) But I am showing off....mostly for Grama and Nana. Loves to you!

Jazmyne's First Day of JOY School

This is Boo's first Choice of Pose!

We took these photos for JoySchool. Boo had her first day yesterday.
We went to three houses.
This is what we did:
Gracie and her mom, Jessi, taught us about Rules
Makenna and her mom, Libbey, taught us about the Calender
and
Issac and his mom, Cami, taught us a Game to remember names.
**
**
Today we finished up our "meet you" day.
First, Kaystan and his mom, Marci, taught us about some things we were going to do at Joy School and we met a special friend we named "COWPOKE".
Then we came to our house and read one of our favorite books, How Big is a Million?, and learned the JoySchool Song..and we danced around a little. Next week we are just going to one house. We are going to have so much fun.

GIVE me a Sec

GRRRR! I want to change my blog and make it all cute, but haven't gotten there yet. So just hang on. I have pictures coming faster than I can post. I just knew this was going to be addicting! and what a tragedy if I can't get to make a post. Well...I still haven't decided for sure on my webaddress....because it is so hard!!!! ANYWHO! I have some cute ones to post.

Jaxon's First Day of School

Wahoo!!! Jaxon had his first day of school on Tuesday. And although most of you already heard all the good stories, I snapped some photos while he hung up his backpack, and at the door before he walked into the classroom.

On the first day there was so many parents and people in the hall, Jaxon accidentally walked into the classroom across the hall. Since then he has figured out to look for the door with the Pencil. :) He is so smart.

Twilight: The Movie!

WhatEver! hELLO!

Ok...Whatever. I finally created a Blog. I thought it would be easier to share my photos rather than emailing them to you....and well I plan on updating as often as I do anything. (WHO KNOWS)...but I do have a couple of photos and stuff to post soon. :)
